How to run a successful AppSumo campaign and move your product to the next level.

About 2 years ago, I heard about AppSumo and started to investigate how it worked and read articles about the best practices of launching a lifetime deal on this novel platform. I realized that this can be a good source of traffic, cash, and experience, so decided to go for it. We spent about 3 months preparing for the launch, after contacting their team and getting recommendations from them about improving the product and other necessary requirements to launch the campaign.

So we finally launched on January 27, 2020, and that was the craziest day in the life of our company :)

Based on user feedback, we soon realized that the initial deal structure was not optimal and quickly learned some important lessons through the launch. So after few days of discussions with clients, and the AppSumo team, we decided to restructure the deal terms and updated our offering. This somehow helped to boost sales, but anyways we already lost the momentum so we didn’t succeed to use the full potential of the platform.
